OLYMPIC HOPEFULS for NPR

The icy mile-long track on the side of a mountain in Lake Placid, New York is known among its visitors as one of the more technically challenging courses in the World Cup circuit. Olympic veterans and hopefuls in two-person bobsled and the skeleton gathered in Lake Placid for the World Cup Bobsled and Skeleton races, a stop along the circuit and opportunity to help determine teams for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
