Burke Mountain Academy in East Burke, Vermont, has produced alpine ski olympians, world cup champions and members of national ski teams over the past several decades. Most school days begin with on-the-hill training followed by time in the gym and lunch before beginning classes in the afternoon. Two-time olympic gold medalist and World Cup alpine skier, Mikaela Shiffrin, is a 2013 graduate from the academy who recently won the super-G at the Ski World Championships in Are, Sweden.
